We are located in Hazelbrook and are open from 6 am to 6pm, catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

At Family Day Care children have the opportunity to explore, learn and play in a happy and safe environment. The program is based on children's needs and interests which fosters all areas of development.

We endeavour to provide a happy, safe environment with routine activities, with an emphasis on providing a secure predictable environment for children, thus enabling social interaction, learning, outdoor play, dramatic and imaginary play as well as arts and crafts to mention just a few.

We are located in Hazelbrook and are open from 6 am to 6pm, catering for children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Under regulatory guidelines a maximum of 5 children under the age of 5 will only ever be in care at one time.

This allows individual attention guaranteed to each child throughout their day and to have the chance to socialise with a diverse range of ages. Here at clever ducks learning through play is emphasised, I support this in our daily routines, play is enhanced with stimulating and interesting activities such as a sensory table, a book area, construction and craft area, puzzles are just a few. Clever Ducks Family day care follows the Early Years Learning Frame work which ensures a diverse, flexible learning platform, allowing your child to discover their individual learning process, here at Clever Ducks self-expression through dramatic play, art and music is nurtured.

We also have a large outside area were a lot of our learning occurs, when weather permits play areas are established such as dump truck corner, Dino world in the rock garden and many more activities. Each child's day is documented so parents are able to view their experiences and daily routine when they pick their child up, I also create a fun a keepsake portfolio for each child full off photos and great moments.

I have been involved with children for most of my life and would not have it any other way!

I am a very proud mother of 5 wonderful boys,

I have studied and graduated in community services and recently been working for the child protection sector until the birth of my last son, I hold a current first aid certificate and have also nearly finished a diploma in community services.

How Much?

Clever Ducks Family Day Care offers permanent care and/or casual care according to vacancies.

In order to attend Clever Ducks Family Day Care you must register with Blue Mountains Family Day Care Scheme and pay the one-off registration fee. This must be completed prior to attending care with Clever Ducks, by calling BMDCS on (02) 4780 5280. A two week advance payment of fees is required for holding positions which is payable to Clever Ducks on the day of enrolment to ensure placement.

The scheme does charge an administration levy
of 90 cents per hour additionally to
Clever Ducks hourly rate of $7.00 for
permanent care and $8.00 for casual care.
